Kraglin Obfonteri is a character in Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Kraglin is based on the character of the same name from the Marvel Comics.
History[]
Kraglin is born on the planet Xandar to Xandarian parents. At some point, Kraglin becomes the First Mate of Yondu Udonta and the Yondu Ravager Clan. For years, Kraglin and the other members follow Yondu's lead to abduct children and deliver them to their father, Ego. However, Yondu learns that Ego was killing children who do not inherit the Celestial gene. Yondu decides to keep one child and raise him as a Ravager. Kraglin keeps the knowledge of them having to deliver Quill to his father from Peter a secret. (Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2)
Overtime, Kraglin forms a small rivalry with Peter (Guardians of the Galaxy)

- Kraglin was portrayed by Sean Gunn, who is the director's younger brother.
- In Guardians of the Galaxy, Kraglin is never referred to by name (but his name is in the credits). He is later identified as Kraglin in the sequel.
Film connections[]
- Yondu tells Kraglin that Quill's father was a "jackass," a nickname Yondu calls Ego when he sees the living planet forcing the life out of his adoptive son.
